Modified coal tar pitch

Modified coal tar pitch is prepared from medium-temperature pitch as raw material. In ordinary medium-temperature asphalt, the benzene insoluble fraction BI is about 18%, and the quinoline insoluble fraction QI is about 6%.

When this kind of asphalt is heat treated, the aromatic hydrocarbon molecules in the asphalt produce hydrogen, methane and water during thermal polycondensation.

At the same time, the original β resin and α component in the asphalt increase, the adhesion increases, and the asphalt is modified.
